Shocker Alert: ACORN CEO, Bertha Lewis, praised socialism and attacked conservatives as she spoke at the Winter Conference of the Young Democratic Socialists (YDS) in March 2010.
Over 150 youth and student activists gathered at Norman Thomas High School in New York City from March 5-7, 2010. Young Democratic Socialists (YDS) activists and progressive youth converged to discuss how to amplify left-wing pressure on the establishment.
So, here is the ACORN CEO, who is heavily tied to Obama, actively and openly promoting socialism to young Democrats. I guess the Democrats can quit complaining now about people calling Obama a socialist. Right?
But, Obama wasn’t really connected to ACORN. Noooo. He only was a community organizer for ACORN, trained ACORN employees, represented ACORN in court, protested with ACORN, his campaign donated $800,000 to ACORN in 2008 for voter registration efforts, and appointed a top ACORN operative, Patrick Gaspard, to a top post in the White House to help shape domestic policy. No big deal! What connection?
