I Wonder if Obama Will Call These Kids to Offer His Condolences?

1 May

Obama’s pick for spokesman for his anti-bullying campaign, Dan Savage, is going about as well as expected.

Recently at a high school journalism conference, Savage, after making reference to just having sex with his male partner,  launched a profanity laced attack upon the Bible and Christianity.  He mentioned that regarding homosexuality, “we can learn to ignore the bulls***” contained in the Bible.  He then went on to elaborate [erroneously] on how the Bible endorsed slavery and the honor killing of women who lose their virginity before marriage.  He then intimated that the GOP would like to see both slavery and honor killings restored.  He closed his attack by referring to the Christian students who walked out of his screed as “pansy-assed.”

What a shocker, a liberal, pretending to be offended by being bullied because of his beliefs, is actually a hard-core bully himself.  He’s so offended by the LGBT community being harassed and bullied over the years that he started the It Gets Better Project, that has led to multiple Democrat politicians, including Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi to make personal “It Gets Better” YouTube videos themselves.  Yep, Mr. Savage is so tired of being bullied for his beliefs that he decided to attack Christians for their belief in the Bible in front of a group of high school students, then made fun of them for walking out in disgust by calling them “pansy assed.”

Nice pick, Mr. President.

So, that leads me to the question.  Will President Obama call these students who were offended by the comments of Mr. Savage?  We all know how concerned President Obama was for Georgetown Law Student Sandra Fluke after she was insulted by Rush Limbaugh a few months ago.  He was so concerned that he called her personally to offer his support.  I guess if you are asking tax payers to pay for your contraceptives you are somehow more noble and worthy of a phone call from the President that if you are just some Christian who was attacked for your religious beliefs.

Here are a few more gems from Mr. Anti-Bullying himself:

In a December 2010 interview with Newsweek, he called Supreme Court Justice Scalia a “c***sucker.”  On Bill Maher’s show he said that he wished “the Republicans were all f***ing dead.”  He later told Maher that he wanted to “f*** the s*** out of [Santorum].”

That is exactly the type of person I would expect the President of the United States to pick as the head of his anti-bullying campaign!  What an asset to the team!

Here is the video of Dan Savage’s attack on Christians and the Bible in front of high school students:

This piece from The American Thinker sums it up nicely:

Based on how quickly Barack Obama raced out to the microphones to address what he felt were demeaning comments directed toward the frail Ms. Fluke, is Obama planning on doing likewise and officially distancing himself from Dan Savage by publicly addressing his “inappropriate,” anti-Christian remarks?

When he’s finished straightening out Mr. Savage, will the President then be phoning the children who were called ‘pansy asses’ by his abusive White House guest, as he did Sandra Fluke ?  Will he tell the kiddies their parents should be proud of them for the dignified way they respectfully dismissed themselves from the awkward confrontation?

Afterwards, at his next press conference, will Obama share that he thought about how terribly his Christian daughters Sasha and Malia would have felt being singled out and insulted in such a public way, just for going to a high school journalism conference?

Will Barack Obama condemn verbal and religious abuse of any kind and remind America “The remarks that were made don’t have any place in the public discourse.” Or will Mr. Obama send a strong but silent message of agreement to the anti-bullying bully Dan Savage by choosing to say absolutely nothing at all?
