Herman Cain on the greatness of America: “I own the bus!”

1 Nov

I can’t think of a more stark contrast between a Conservative’s point of view and a liberal’s point of view than this short 1:16 video. Herman Cain nails it:

“One of the greatest strengths of America is its ability to change.   Look where we are.  I grew up in the 50’s and the 60’s…in Atlanta, Georgia…during the height of the Civil Rights movement.  I remember being on the bus in Atlanta, riding as a young teenager, where I would see the sign at the front of the bus that said ‘whites seat from front, coloreds seat from rear.  And I had to sit at the back of the bus.  Because of the greatness of America and the fact that we have this ability to change, that’s one of the things that’s made us great.  And today, I don’t have to sit in the back of the bus…I own the bus.  And my picture’s on the outside.  That’s the greatness of America.  And, I’m running for President of the United States of America.  It doesn’t get any better than that.”
